Twigga Mension and Mr Dangerous

Sometimes I get the opportunity to go out and shoot pictures for non-commercial reasons. This shoot was for some young kwaito musicians from Alex in Joburg.

We did the entire shoot in Alex and shot three different artists in 3 locations. While we were driving to a shebeen to grab a beer and some lunch, I spotted an awesome looking old-school pickup on bricks and decided that I really wanted to do the last shoot around sundown at the bakkie. They turned out my favourite shots of the day, and I really love the textures and colours on the body work. I think a dog was using the bed for a sleeping area or something – it smelled terrible. And then the old guy rocked up and wanted a picture taken. I think that was my best shot of the whole day.
